Try early AM or early evening when things have cooled down a bit. Bring plenty of water for you both. A pool is a great source of exercise if you have one (we sell a small one in the store here), or a cool hosing off first. Finally, there are also products like this coat (http://www.pettemp.com/05koolkoatmain/05koolkoatmain6-06.htm) that work to keep your friend cool while at play.
Of course, whenever exercising your dog during the summer months, always be on the lookout for signs of heatstroke, and be prepared to get back to the A/C ASAP.
try looking for a facility such as my work place, Dawgs in Motion (www.dawgsinmotion.com)
we have a hydrotherapy swimming pool that can be used for leisure or exercise purposes. It even has a couple of jets on the end for added resistance if you really want to give your dog a workout. You can also rent our large (air conditioned) training room. You can even pay a little extra and we'd set up the agility equipment for you so you can practice agility or just have some fun.
Remember to keep your dog hydrated and have out cold water for her if you do play outside. And as Josh has said, hoses and pools are awesome for backyard playtime in summer.
